Red Bull / Fuel TV "Union Jacked" 2009
Thanks to Buddy, Rick, and Noah over at Six Stair Inc I got to edit my first legit TV show in HD. After many years of making skate videos, the television world was a rude awakening. It was very foreign at first but after a whole month of 14 hour days I got it figured out now thanks to those guys. Sorry I can't show a little example but it just started airing this month so I have to wait a bit before posting it.
Foo Fighters "Let it Die" 2008
I was really excited when I got the call from Sony Entertainment/RCA to do some follow filming (Skateboard Operator) for the Foo Fighters. Grammy award winning director Martin Fougerol was in charge and I slid right into the Assistant DP position. I heard some people work years for a chance like that so I appreciated the opportunity very much. Unfortunately, the Red Camera was a little too bulky (and expensive) for me to bomb hills with so they gave me an HVX instead, but most of the shots were filmed out of the back of a van with the Red Camera. Bummer.
Besides just having the MTV edit they also wanted a "skateboard only" edit to promote on skate sites around the world so I cut the above video only to find out that the main video was eventually pulled for some unexplained reason and will never be seen. Such a waste. I'm pretty sure this is the only place you can see this video. Enjoy!
